Man arrested for assault when he files complaint against victim | News
ANNISTON, AL (WBRC)- Anniston Police say they've arrested a man for beating another man with a shovel.
Police say 54-year-old Elgin Walter Bowman is charged with second degree assault in the Sunday afternoon incident. Apparently Bowman and the victim were in a dispute on allegations that the victim was trespassing on private, vacant property.
Police say Bowman came into the police department to file a trespassing complaint when he was arrested for assault.
